Chapter Officers
Officers for the Alive After Five AMBUCS chapter are elected each year. Below are the current board members, and a little bit of history about each person. Also listed is our current scholarship recipient.
- President
- Donna Whitcomb
- Donna was a previous member of the Kalamazoo AMBUCS chapter, but has been a charter member of the Alive After Five chapter since 2004. To say she's an active member would be an understatement - she's held the positions of President, Board Member, District 3-B Governor and Information and Newletter Chair. Outside of AMBUCS, Donna enjoys enjoys gardening, motorcycle riding and bowling.
-
- Secretary
- Lynn Durocher
- Lynn started her commitment to helping others through her work in the health care industry in 1971, and has extended that desire through her work with AMBUCS. After repeatedly hearing Donna Whitcomb tell her that AMBUCS is the "fun way to serve", she took the opportunity to refocus her energies after her children graduated from high school and left her with more time to participate in a service organization. AMBUCS has opened the door to new friends, gratifying service work and continued the joy of helping others.
-
- Treasurer
- Rick Remynse
- A charter member of the Alive After 5 AMBUCS club, Rick has been a member of AMBUCS since 1992 and has been the Treasurer of the club since 2005. He enjoys the regional conventions, the friendships he's made, and the fun times. He was the winner of 2009 Project Manager for District 3B award and the 2009 Midstates Regional Convention "Best Costume - Men" (see photo gallery). Rick is an AMBUCS member because he believes in and enjoys giving to those with a need and enjoys working with a dedicated group of people that believe the same. Outside AMBUCS, he's a Clive Cussler fan and loves home improvement projects.
-
- Membership
- Ginny Boll
- Ginny came to her first meeting in 2007 and was hooked. The warmth and humor of the meetings made it unlike any other service group meeting that she had previously attended. When she helped give away her first tryke to someone that had never known the freedom a bike can give, she knew she had helped make a difference in that person's life. She felt it helped her become a better citizen of her community and aided another to become a better citizen as well. Hobbies include gardening, scrapbooking, and trying new things.

- Current Scholar
- Nicole Klutz
- A native of Maine, Nicole is now a Doctoral student in Audiology at Western Michigan University. Nicole resides in Plainwell with her husband, Rich who is a recent military veteran and is now working diligently to help his wife through her education. Nicole's plans are to work in Pediatric Neurodiagnosis, Research and Newborn Screening Protocol.
